Immunisations
Childhood immunisation by appointment on Tuesdays between 10.00am and 12.00pm, alternating between Kirkcudbright Health Centre and Gatehouse of Fleet Surgery.
Local Health Board are now responsible for all other immunisations.
Healthy Woman Clinic
Every 5 years from the age of 25 you will automatically be reminded that your smear is due and asked to contact the Health Centre for an appointment. Ladies from the age 50 to 64 years and 364 days will be invited for screening every 5 years The clinics are performed by a nurse or a female doctor who will offer general health advice at the same time. Cervical screening saves around 5000 lives per year and prevents 8 out of 10 cervical cancers from developing. Any symptoms outwith normal screening should be reported to your GP.
Family Planning
Completely confidential advice is available by making an ordinary appointment.
Antenatal Clinic
This is held every Tuesday between 1.00 pm and 3.40 pm. Patients are seen by the midwife. Please call reception to make an appointment.
Minor Surgery
Some of the GP partners can provide surgery for moles, cysts etc if necessary.
Community Hospital
Currently closed since COVID.
EMIS access
EMIS access – the facility to book an appointment is not available at the moment due to COVID restrictions.
